CAP, a 501(c)(4) organization, was established on September 8, 2010 by six individuals who were fearful the transgressions of our elected Representatives were transforming our country from the land of opportunity to one that is burdened by debt and dominated by an arrogant government.
This is not the country we knew when we were young and it was not what we wanted for our children and grand-children. We concluded it was time we became, for the first time, active in the political process.
We wrote our Statement of Purpose and reached out to others who might want to join the fight. Our membership grew rapidly and interestingly 90% of those who have joined also used to be on the political sidelines. They are now active and energized by the difference we are making on the Local and State level in Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties.
The Coalition for American Principles:
- Is a non partisan organization
- Requires no dues
- Members volunteer in local, state and national elections
